Author: Mr. Falco VERNA, living in Rome (Italy), Naval Officer (retired)

I got in the hobby quite early, aged of 12 or 13. As many others, my aspirations were boosted by the movies Waterloo and Barry Lyndon. Colours, uniforms, panache, allure, heroism.

My first kits were Airfix, of course (there was nothing else at that time).

My first love were Napoleonic figures, and later (when more producers were available), the Italian wars of Independence, which had been triggered by the vision given by the two Italian semi-independent kingdoms raised by Napoleon: the Italic Kingdom (in Northern Italy) and the Kingdom of Naples. Both kingdoms contributed with their troops to the Napoleon’s Campaigns.
